District Shahdara Spl Staff nabs criminal wanted in MCOCA after brief encounter Sufi

The district police cornered a criminal wanted in MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act)  and recovered a loaded pistol (country made) with 3 live cartridges , 9 spent cartridges,18 more live cartridges in his pocket and a motorcycle from his possession.
Acting on a tip-off, ASI Sukhbir with his team comprising Head-constables Amit,Parveen and Raju under the supervision of Inspector Jeet Singh swung into action and laid a trap near Pushta Thokar number 17 Geeta Colony flyover. Around 4 in the morning when the wanted Rashid aka Shibbu 36 years reached there, the police team flagged him down but he didn't stop and opened fire instead, he shot four rounds at the police squad. The Staff returned fire that caushed a bullet injury in his  calf, he fell down and got overpowered by the cops.  He was rushed to Hedgewar hospital before being taken into custody.
Shibbu, a desperate offender was involved in more than 25 cases of robbery, attempt to murder, snatching and Arms Act.
